Continuing Education Units
ICER's Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are for Nursing Home Administrators who have already obtained their licenses.
In order to maintain active licensure, each NHA in Pennsylvania must complete 48 hours of credits every other year.
Of these credits, 24 may be earned online or through a variety of other methods, such as taking college courses or serving on a board. The other 24 credit hours must be gained in live seminars with previously vetted material that has been approved by the Board of Licensure.
ICER's CEU courses are timely, change regularly and are done in 4-hour blocks, with two separate courses held per day.
The fee for each Continuing Education Unit Course is $95.
If you are a licensed NHA in need of credits, you may attend sessions within the 120-Hour Course, as they are also pre-approved by the Board and can be taken toward maintaining licensure.
Upcoming classes include:
• Helping the Hoarder in the (Nursing) Home: 4 credits, April 18
• Corporate Compliance: 4 credits, April 18
• Ethics: 4 credits, May 17
• The New Caregiver: 4 credits, May 17
• The Angry Resident and His/Her Family: 4 credits, June 6
• Prevention of Rehospitalization: 4 credits, June 6
• The MDS for the NHA: 4 credits, June 7
