The 120-Hour Course

In order to become eligible for the Pennsylvania Nursing Home Administration state license examination, most applicants need to complete a 120-hour course of continuing education that has been pre-approved specifically to meet that eligibility requirement. The ICER "Introduction to Nursing Home Administration" course consists of the sessions needed to meet the 120-hour requirement.

The 120-Hour Course also will be offered as part of PCOM’s new interdisciplinary Master of Science in Aging and Long-Term Care Administration (ALTCA) program. Registration for the master’s program is handled through the PCOM website. Co-Directors of the PCOM master’s program are ICER leaders Grace Harrison, MPA NHA, and Ilene Warner-Maron, PhD RN-BC CWCN CALA NHA FCPP.

The 120-hour course costs $3,400. The fee includes: All materials on a flash drive, certificates of attendance, continental breakfasts and snacks.

If you are a licensed NHA in need of credits, you may attend individual sessions within the 120-Hour Course, as they are also pre-approved by the board and can be taken toward maintaining licensure. The fee is $200 for each session.
