Facilities risk management examines how nursing homes manage their internal and external risks, including disaster planning and fire safety. Clinical risk management focuses on the proactive steps needed to minimize risks, including falls, pressure ulcers, medication errors and elopements.

The National Continuing Education Review Service (NCERS) of the National Association of Long Term Care Administrator Boards (NAB) has approved this class for 7.00 clock hours and 7.00 participant hours.
