About ICER
The Institute for Continuing Education & Research is committed to providing healthcare professionals in the field of geriatrics with continuing education programs. These courses are taught by the experts working in the field of geriatrics and long-term care. ICER provides the current, relevant and practical education needed to meet the professional license requirements of our attendees.
ICER's founder, the late Dr. Harry Karpeles, identified the need for a comprehensive course of study designed specifically to meet the needs of Nursing Home Administrators. It was Karpeles' vision that residents with limited activities of daily living could still live intellectually stimulating and productive lives in a supportive environment. That vision is being extended by ICER under the leadership of Grace Harrison, Gordon Kutler and Ilene Warner-Maron.
Mission
ICER's mission is to offer timely and relevant educational programs to healthcare workers employed in the geriatrics community. Our goal is to make attaining education easy and convenient for busy professionals who work in long-term care in Pennsylvania.
